Habakkuk 2:4-6

⁴ “Notice their^[a] arrogance—
    they have no inward uprightness^[b]—
        but the righteous will live by their faith.
⁵ Moreover, just as wine leads astray the proud and powerful man,
    he^[c] remains restless;
he^[d] has expanded his appetite—
    like the afterlife^[e] or death itself, he^[f] is never satisfied.
He^[g] gathers to himself all of the nations,
    taking captive all of the people for himself.”
